Yup, you can sit on the packaging box and the case itself would be fine. The Cosmos 1000 is wider, and may be longer externally, but does not have much internal depth and is not as high. The ATCS 840 is very tall since it has 12 drive bays and can hold two PSUs. Look at these pics.

Plus the ATCS 840 has much better cable management. Great choice!

I want to buy one of these but I still can't decide. The one thing I hate about it is no points for tieing down cables on the back side of the tray. Oh and that support "beam" that sticks out 2" on the back side kills the look when the door is open.

What door and what support beam out the back side?
Do you mean the mobo tray handle or are you talking about some other support beam (that I don't seem to have on my case)

I just got this case and just realized that there is a clearance issue with installing a 240 radiator onto the hdd fans. Anyone have a quick fix for this or will I have to make some brackets?

Sorry! I quoted someone else and didn't erase all the pictures i guess, that's not my case, however i got my ATCS 840 to today!

Add me to the list by the way!

I also got my EVGA x58 SLI LE!! It looks amazing but sadly i can't use it, after finishing most of the build, i tried installing a prolimatech megahalems, somehow the mounting "bars" wouldn't fit, so i did a little research and found it was a "rare" defect so i either have to drill the hole bigger or wait for the store to restock as it was the last one

Ill post some pics when/if i ever get it all built and running
