Hard to beat the HAF for air cooling performance. You could always use tights as dust filters.

Most cases don't have a removable motherboard tray, as for the dust filters, you could make your own. Airflow is unmatched in the HAF 932. But if you can sell it for a good price, then the ATCS 840 would be a nice upgrade (except in sheer airflow where it loses).

But if u mod a 230mm fan in the sidepanel on 840, shouldent it perfome almost equal to the 932?

Well you'd have to cut the side panel and give it proper ventilation. Also, screw those 230mm fans, they barely push any air. 4x 120mm fans FTW, then it would be an airflow champ.

I disagree, the 230mm fans perform pretty well (110 CFM at 700 RPM), though 4 well chosen 120mm fans would probably outperform them.
__________________I've reversed mine; they're now both intakes (using tights as dust filters, which is hardly noticeable). Temps have dropped considerably. Have probably messed up airflow direction in my case though. I tried to persuade Coolermaster on their forums to develop a side-panel with a 230mm fan like on the HAF, but they argued it would ruin the look of the ATCS. I partly agree, but would prefer to have it nonetheless. Thought about having a go myself, no equipment to do it though.

Those are the official specs. Put your hand in front of the 230mm fans, they're not moving much air. As for a side panel fan, that's not the style of the ATCS 840, and it doesn't need it. It's a classic style, not a new catchy bling-bling case like the HAF 932.

It wouldn't look too bad, plus I think you'd see temps drop quite a bit.
__________________Well, I still disagree, my temps being the basis, of course they could be lower with 120mms in their place, but they'd be louder.

if you really do want the fan put in the side i would recommend going through bill owen at mnpctech. he does great work. If i had a good hole saw I'd do it for you. I'd do it with a dremel for you, but the quality wouldn't be nearly as good as Bill with his hole saw

How do I install this Sycthe Kama Bay into my 840 case. I know the case is tool less but I can't get a single hole to line up to even attempt to rig it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
