lol, Megatron. I have a million 120mm x 25mm fans laying around though. But hey, if I get both Delta fans, if one dies out I'll have a spare

But I might just get two Scythe ULTRA kazes for a third of the price..

I've never heard of a Delta fan dying on anyone, not once. You're pretty safe just having one.

I wouldn't, Deltas are much better.

Edit; while we're talking about fans, my rear 120mm exhaust seems to have died, I suspected that would happen as soon as I started using the Panaflo. I suspect I'll need to relocate the U1BX to rear exhaust and Y-wire it to the same channel as the 9G1212H1011 when it comes in (isn't that my luck that as soon as I ordered that thing, the rear stock exhaust dies? probably a sign...).

So are all of the ATCS 840's tight in the 5.25" bay for installing DVD drives or is it just a manufacturing problem with a few of them? I never have gotten my new Samsung DVD+RW installed in mine because it's too tight and I don't want to scratch the case and drive both up trying to force it in. I worked at it for a while the other day in the top two 5.25" bays and no matter what angle I tried it just didn't want to go in.

I contacted Cooler Master about it the other day along with my other problem where the four screw holes for the motherboard tray weren't lined up good enough and so you have to grab the mobo tray handle and pull forward on the tray and hold it in position while putting the screws in just so they can screw all the way in the holes. Cooler Master needs to get together and fix some of these problems. It's not like they can't have the 5.25" bay area made a fraction wider so DVD drives easily slide in as well as some other gripes like making the side panels just a little thicker for better sound dampening.

I know mine was a tight fit, but I've installed two different DVD drives, a fan controller, and a Scythe Kama Bay. The drives and fan controller took some wiggling, the Kama Bay didn't since it doesn't really go into the drive bay, just in the front of it.

From my experience, everything set in the drives good enough. DVD-RW is perfectly in place (LG btw.) and my fan controler (Zalman MFC1 Plus) even has some extra space, which i wouldnt mind being filled somehow. You see, i dont think CM can do much about it, as it depends on other products. You want to fit your component in, but on other side you dont want to have holes around, that looks really bad. So they have to make compromise i guess.

As for the side panels, totally agreed they could make them little thicker.

Well you won't have to mod it to install anything more than a single triple-size rad (and maybe a double-size on the back of the HD cage...), so I wouldn't.

Great thread very helpful! + rep

I'm goin to order mine later today or early tomorrow.

Just lookin for ideas for my cooling/fan setup, check my build here

I see some have had problems with the fan controller i'm goin to order, I dont want the noise level to high tho.

I was thinkin of removing the top 2 230mm 2700rpm fans on top and put 1 of those on the front (would this be to much noise?).
Could put a 120mm fan on the top back and replace the coolermaster stock fan
I'm checkin the air coolin forums also
