I'd like to update on the side panel; NCIX has the window, but not in stock. Here for US customers, and here for Canadian customers. I'd like to see it in more shops but right now that's not happening.

Woot! Case is down to $200. I'm grabbing one in a few weeks.

I was considering painting the inside, as well. Any tips on that?

If you have access to a powdercoater, I would go that route first; more durable and just plain looks secksy. If not, spraypaint, just make sure to prep it real good first.

I know, it's unfair in a sense because it started only a few months ago at 280 dollars. I've never seen a case go down so quickly and dramatically in price.

If you know anyone that can do it and do a good job for you, then leave them to do it. That's all I have to offer since I don't have a spare oven (nor a powder gun for that matter) for doing it myself when I had it done; got really lucky on that shop since I didn't think they'd take the task.

Will they be selling the case with the window soon or is it just going to be an option. Also if your missing a cable just do an Erma and they will send one to you no questions asked. I broke the usb ports on my 801stacker and then again on my HAF-932 and they sent me the pieces no questions asked. I would have paid for them but they sent them free. I am definitely sticking to CoolerMaster.

I wouldn't know, mine is extremely local and I never thought they did powder coating until I asked and had it done. Just look for local PC shops and ask if they do modifications.

Edit;

As far as I know, it will be kept as a separate option to buy. If rumor is correct, then they may have an all-black version later this year, but I'm unsure of if it'll have a window.

Don't know what state you live in but this might help:

http://www.customcoaters.com/index.html#CCdirectory.

It was easy for me, I have a local guy that I've been dealing with, did the coating for my engine parts and wheels for a project car I was working on. He does excellent work. If you live in the tri state area I would recommend him. Check out his gallery at:

Default ATCS 840 Cooling

I know the case comes with an external attachment to help it cool the rear cards but how well does the case cool without it?
I want to use an E8600 CPU with either a single GeForce 9800 or 260, maybe a little larger than the 260.
Can the case handle this properly or do I need to use the external fan?
Thanks.

Post #54 here shows my idle temps, as I said there I'll hold off on posting load temps until I've upgraded to Core i7 and overclocked it; naturally I'll also re-scan the idle temps for that since there'll be some more heat from the new parts, and I'll have some fans filling out the empty positions inside.

The case will have good enough stock cooling for about whatever you can put in there, but if you want to feel better about it, you can put fans on the back of the hard drive cage and in the floor intake position. If you still have doubts, then go ahead and use the external cooling box. If you STILL have doubts after that, you can modify the side panel to accommodate whatever fans you want.
