is it ok to run my mobo on the wood of my desk??

I run open case(both sides) with front removed, with no case fans, does that count? ^^

My main rig runs on it's motherboard box with optical drives in front stacked, HDDs vertical on top of them (sry, no recent pics and too lazy atm to clean & take more)

I did however revamp my server shelf last week to add my new Phenom 9550 folder & E6400/8800GT too it




There's a closeup of the HDD mounting for the server (b4 the last 4 upgrades of HDDs/motherboard/CPUs etc)

And I've got plenty other such "budget" cases
