Antec 300 Question
Do thenewer GPU's such as 4850 or 4870 fit into an Antec 300 well? Or should I get something a little bit deeper? Price range is right around $100, for this cheap not really wanting all the LED as it will be in bedroom & keep my wife awake. Suggestions?

hell yeah, easily. how do i know? i had one. if a gtx 280 can fit in a nine hundred, it will fit ina three hundred since the three hundred essentially is the same as the nine hundred minus the huge 180mm fan and the all the other fans
but yes. easily.

2900Xt fit perfectly fine. And its a 10.5" card. Like the GTX and HD 48700

The 300 can fit those. I have seen a gtx 280 sli setup in there. It will be right with a 4870 but it will fit. You just wont be able to have your hard drive right behind the video card. If you only are having one card the 4870 will fit nicely. The 4850 will fit easily.

also: the antec 300 does not come with any LED fans. you can buy some Scythes and put em in the front, and the whole thing will be rather quiet.

if anything, you'll just have to move your hard drives if there's any conflict, but as others have mentioned, it will fit.
__________________My GTX 260 fit with a bit to spare; maybe half an inch.
