Default A New innovation in Case Design. Report.

Today we will be looking at one of the most Unique cases that has been introduced in a very long while. The company that is launching this one of a kind case is from a Case company that has not seen a whole lot of press in last few years but I do believe that this new case will be ringing in many different ears and yes, even some modders may find this case appealing..

Chieftec BL-01B Bravo Series Case w/VESA Monitor Mount

Let's Go Deeper.

If your first words are anything like mine it was something close to What the..... . Yes that was mine. The uniqueness of this case can blow you over with a feather but is it as cool as it looks? That is the Answer that I am looking to find out.

Here is the Specification according to http://www.xoxide.com/.

Quote:
Utilizing a truly innovative design method, Chieftec has continued it's outstanding Bravo Series with a chassis concept that has to be seen to be believed. The Chieftec BL-01B Bravo Series Case is a bold new chassis that comes equipped with a VESA Monitor Mount built onto the side of the case. This allows the user to simply install their monitor on the side of their case, allowing plenty of space to open up in and around your workstation.

Case Size: Mid Tower Fans: N/A
Material: SECC Steel Dimensions: N/A
Side Panel: Solid Drive Bays: 1 x External 5.25" / 3 x Internal 3.5"
Expansion Slots: 7 Slots I/O Ports: USB, Audio
Motherboard Support: ATX, Micro ATX Power Supply: Optional

Features:
L-Type VESA Monitor Mount
Opens Up Plenty of Desktop Space
Easy-to-Locate Power Button on Front Panel
Offers Simple Installation
Specifications:
Model: BL-01B-OP
Color: Black
Power Supply: Optional
Motherboard: ATX, Micro ATX
Drive Bays:
1 x External 5.25"
3 x Internal 3.5"
7 x Expansion Slots
Front I/O Ports: USB, Audio
Still at this time I have not been able to find any definative dimentions of this L case but from the looks of it you would not want to put a Xigmatec 1283 in it. And if you are building a super machine maybe this is not the case for you but if your looking for space saving full ATX and innovation that will get your friends attention this is it. There is basic room for 3 hdds and the PSU fits at the bottom of the case. The 7 Expansion slots allow you to put just about any board you want in here but again. This case is not for the Extreme Computer Geek. This is just a great case for a place where space is a priority and your not going to try to over clock it to benchmark high scores. This is great for the medium machine or even a beginner build and at 69.99 at newegg.com it a real bargain.

I give the Chieftec BL-01B Bravo Series Case w/VESA Monitor Mount
3 out of 5 Cool Points.

Look pretty sweet. I wonder how practical it really is for desktop use though.

I really like it. Would be handy for a desktop system that you want to conserve space or travel with and still have the amenities of ATX.

I wouldn't buy it, but I certainly like it :P

Looks cool but wondering how good cooling and usability are for those of us who like to tinker with our rigs.

For $100, that's not bad at all. I think the idea is a great one! It would be a good selling point for people living in small apartments, or dorms.
