Intel Overclocker

Well, my parents just bought laptops and gave me their little E2180 based computer. I'm going to *slowly* upgrade it to where I want it to be from the ground up - but I seek advice here first (cause I'm smart like that and love the Overclock.net!)
__________________To start I'm going to look for a new case. My choices at the moment are between the Thermaltake V9 or the Antec 900 (v9 = $62.00 and the antec is $105.00). I also want to know if it'd be better to just hold out until i can afford the HAF 932. I'd like to keep the total cost of a case below $115.00 for now (as its the max i've got available in my paypal) Future plans are for a nice watercooling setup, but by the time I get that together i'll have an Ascention case and space will be a moot point. Thanks for any advice

Are you going to do this in a mid sized case?
I'd look into a Lancool K60. It's 73 dollars on Mwave and the shipping is cheaper than newegg. It's a real nice case that was designed by Lian Li

CM690 can add alot of fans decent cable mangement The Antec 300 are exactly the same except the Illusion version uses 2 140mm fans in the front. The original uses 2 120mm. Great airflow a little smaller than most midtower cases. Cable mangement not that good. Lancools are pretty good too for an aluminum case with paying alot of $$$$.

I recommend the Antec 900. It's really held up since it's debut.

Antec 300 is a great case to mod for watercooling. Only 50$ and if you can use a drill and some wire cutters your set to watercool.
For size refrence:

Yea but if he doesn't mod it then he will just have an extra 65 bucks in his pocket that he could have spent on an better case

Save your money for an HAF case or the Storm Sniper.

well, I think i'm going to go with the CM 690 case
__________________ I like the options, and i've got another 120mm fan to put in it. Many thanks to everyone who posted information! My only question is can I mount the power supply so that the fan on it is facing upwards?next part to go after will be a power supply (although i've got a crappy 585w one - i'm going to start future proofing - so i'll be going after the 1000w OCZ Z-series)
