Default Silverstone Raven RV02?

Well lets start here shall we...

Basicly my processor that would go for millions at a nerd antique auction will probably die soon and I'm hoping to replace it with i5 soon .

I currently own a Lian Li PC-V1000 .. It's a nice case although has NO cable management system. NO decent airflow and NO decent space. Oh, and did I mention the fact the dust filter is impossible to remove.

So I'm looking for a new case that's good yet cheap and the RV02 caught my eye. Looks nice, has some good features and is a good price.

Anything bad about it I'm missing? Are the blue LEDs on the top chevron removable/replaceable?

- Toon

bluepiglet how do you plan to cool it?

Thinking of getting one and wc'ing it, but I kinda want to get an idea of how difficult of a task that may be.

The Raven 02 has 3 120mm Fans at the bottom of the case that can be replaced with a triple (360) radiator.

ok, the things are in the new case. doing some leakage test/ bleeding at the moment. so i will post some first impression of the case first.

the case is very low. much lower than my cosmos. but its much much longer. top and front is plastic. the rest is metal (steel). it is genally well made. but the panels are as thick as the cosmos. all the opening for fans are equiped with filters which are very thoughtful.

i have to remove the 3 180mm fans but case there is very little space there once you put the radiator on top of them. push/pull combo wouldnt work there because the rams would the touch the fans on the top. and if you use more than one graphic card, it would be very difficult to find any room for the pump.

the harddrive cage is a little trick to mount. you need to put the harddrives in place before installing the mobo. cos the mobo would block the cage. i solved this by inserting the cage back from the front after removing the plastic pieces. ( better than reinstalling the mobo at least)

the cooling on this case looks really decent. all the hot components are placed on the top of the case. with 3 180mm fans sucking in cold air from the botton, heat gets lifted out of the case from the top right away.

generally speaking, its a sexy case. one of the best midi tower cases (no, its not a full tower) and highly recommanded!!

oh, once i get the wc'ing in place. i will take and post some pictures.
