How did you cut the shapes in the side of the case? Tin snips would deform the metal surface surrounding the cut area. I've use Morse brand holesaws to cut circles for fans in my case, but that is for circles.

I drilled a few 1/4" holes and started cutting with a hand held jigsaw. Afterward I filled the edges down and then sanded them a bit to get them a little more smooth. I did this for all the fan holes too.

Good luck.

i love stickers.
really show the beast within.

it's a matter of personal preference - like how some would like their evo's to be stealthy - no stickers whatsover.. some love to plaster them with HKS, Greddy stickers, etc.

Thank you, I will try.

Yes, I sanded the beige down a bit, then used black primer. I did a couple coats of primer before spraying with orange. I wish I would have went with white primer because it took so many coats to cover up the black.

Get yourself a cheap piece of plex for that side panel. You can just cut a rectangle with your jig saw and plex blade. It's another $10, but well worth the quiet.

Ah, these are old pictures, thanks for the suggestion though. I have some acrylic placed in the case. I couldn't cut a rectangle because of the outcroppings on the inside of the side panel (the window would run into the drive housing, also, it wouldn't lay flat). So, I cut the panel, and hot glued it in! And, as you said, it's worth the quiet.

I got bored of looking at them, so now they're gone. Well, I gutted it too...

'Twas a steal at $12!

I used to have a house in Au Train, right out side of Munising. Best place ever. I'll move back there some day.

This case was pretty well done. I would be careful with those fans on the bottom though. May want to put a screen over them though, before the wrong thing gets sucked up in there.

With my luck, I'd spill something, it'd get under the case, and get sucked in!
