Default CM Sorm Sniper + Corsair's Hydro Series H50

Anyone using this setup? If so how are you liking it?

Thinking about getting this cooler.

The general rule of thumb here on OCN is that you should get a high-end air cooler instead, unless space is an issue, which it's not.

You'd be better off getting a Prolimatech Megahalems and a Panaflo or similar fan, it'd give better temps, look better, and end up cheaper.

There's nothing wrong with it, don't get me wrong. There are better choices for the money, though.

As meticadpa said, dont waste your money on it. If you are going to do watercooling, do it properly or don't do it at all. A megahalems beats this hands down and costs less.

i see people talk about true's and seen the megahalem's mentioned here but i have never seen one in the store's here in the u.s.. are these all products from europe? alot of people talk bad about thermaltake coolers but i am limited to what fry's carry.

i do not like ordering from websites (new egg, tiger direct). i would rather walk into a store and buy it just in case there is a problem with how stuff fits and do not fit. like i said i go to fry's a lot and best buy does not have best prices so they are not an option.

i am not looking to do serious over clocking just something better than what i have right now. my idle is about 43 celsius, ambient temp outside is 17 celsius, inside temp is 22 celsius, which i know i can do better.

thanks again

Well antonio if you don't want to order from the 'net then you are pretty much limited to frys and best buy, neither of which really carries anything worthwhile.

if the H50 is the best thing you can get, I say go for it.

ps - i order from newegg ALL the time and COULD NOT be happier. Amazon is pretty good, too!
