Obsidian is expensive and new, I plan on getting one soon, but don't spend so much money on a case unless you can spare it, getting a better graphics card would be more worthwhile or something. Have you looked at some of the cheaper alternatives if your worried about cost? such as Cosmos s, or even HAF 932?
for radiators a 360 rad and a 240 would be good for what you need, dual loop setup if you have the funds would be nice as well, so like the link i posted earlier 360 rad for cpu and motherboard and 240 for GPU. but as you can see the get a 240 rad internally the guy had to cut into the bottom of the case.

If using 3x120 rad would that be enough for a CPU/gpu and mobo water cooling?

I recon for now a 360 rad would do for both, but with crossfire you will need to use a 240 as well.
Don't worry about the northbridge and use a 360 rad for GPU + CPU for now, then when you crossfire, do a loop with the 360 on northbridge (if you want to) and cpu and a 240 on the gpu.

I don't really want to cut into the case, is it possible to avoid that route?

The Obsidian has way more options right out of the box than a TJ07. If you're gonna watercool and wants a case that has ready built solutions for rads etc. I'd go for the Obsidian. The TJ07 is an old design, very sturdy and one of the reasons why modders like it so much is because everything is joined by screws, you can take the whole case apart with a screwdriver.
Look at all the cable management holes in the Obsidian for example. The TJ07 has none. The Obsidian has ready made mounts for rads. The TJ07 has none. The only reason to why I would take a TJ07 over an Obsidian is the space down below. But to be honest, if the Obsidian was out when I bought my TJ, I'd probably get the Obsidian instead.

thats a very nice tj07 you've got there kimsabi, imho id take that over an obsidian.
I'm not sure where else you could mount a 240 rad as well as a 360, phaseshift, as I do not have to case, but I plan on buying one soon. could do the 240 externally tho, I believe the obsidian has holes allready their for tubing.
