Default HAF 922 vs. Storm Sniper

Is the $50 price difference between the Sniper and the 922 really worth it? I'd like to get a case that I don't need to mod at all

IMO there is almost no difference between those cases and i actually think the haf looks better so i would just get the 922. My friend has one and i am very jealous. It is very sturdy and has tons of room.

Here is a post that HAVEnvy did showing two pics of them. Here And yes they are basically identical, and yes that side window does fit on the HAF 922. My preference is the 922 as I like the looks of the outside better. That is really the only difference, the outside. Either way, they are both great cases.

Is it worth the $50 price difference?
Definitely not in my opinion.

Is it worth an extra $20 if you can get it at a great sale price, like at Provantage, if only it weren't out of stock?
Oh yeah.

Does it really matter?
Only if you have a pivotal preference for blue LED's.

And if the HAF really uses the same side panel as the Sniper like someone else mentioned, I think it would look SICK with this windowed panel for the Sniper.

It does and it's only $10 at the CM Store here and do not worry that it says for the sniper only. It's only because the back screws do not line up. But I do not screw mine in as it will not fall off anyways. Or just drill some new holes in the back of the side panel if you must.

And here is a pic of what it looks like on the HAF922

I haven't been able to see them in person but I like the looks of the Sniper better

Of course I'd rather go with the cheaper version hehe. Egg has it listed at $99 w/ free shipping.

Is there much of a benefit to adding a 200mm fan to the side? It seems kind of important for GPU cooling but I'm still a newbie and don't completely understand optimal case airflow setups.

Does the HAF really build up a lot of dust like I seem to see mentioned a lot?

+1 for the storm sniper, If I were to go back in time, I probably would have gotten the Storm Sniper over my Scout, dont' get me wrong, I love my case, just it's alittle short to fit those long cards :P.

I think the storm line from coolermaster is really strong, but as I've never owned a HAF before, can't say too much without bias. But IMO, the sniper looks better.

Plus, it has handles! <-- I mean LANdles!

I have thought about getting one of those cases and the insides are the same with the only difference is the newer Snipers have black interior which is nice and the Sniper has built in fan controller and you can also turn the LED lights off which is nice. It comes down to looks cooling wise their gonna be about the same.
