Well a few other threads and the release of the specs of the HD 5970 being 13.5" long, I've been thinking about a new case. Specifically a P183. Yes, I have a P180, but it is the absolute first version with no cable management cutouts.

Either way, I'd like a case that could at least handle a HD 5870, which my P180 could now, but if I got a longer card, I would need to remove the spare HDD bays, and I can't do that as it'd kill me to see those cables behind it. Heh.

Anyways, I looked at a P183 and a few other cases as well, and I know I could manage cables well without having to let them go behind there, which in turn would result in me being able to take that out. But I'm very open to other options. I really like the blue I've got going on, and I would consider cutting my case, but it's not really a version that has space behind the motherboard for cables anyways.

So...opinions? (Oh yeah, a budget...um...as close to $100 as possible. Maybe above if it has free shipping. I got my P180 now for $100.)

I use an HAF 922 and it's deffinately a big case and looks pretty nice too. All for about $100. It's well equipped for cable management and leaves a cutout for accessing the back of the motherboard where a mounting plate would be.

Yeah, I took a look at the 922. Any idea of the amount of space it has available for a video card?

Awesome! Yeah, I've always enjoyed my P180, so I'm not sure if I'm ready to move on to another case, but this is kinda my "JIC I do decide to get a HD 5970" thread lol.

+1 for the 922. I usually try not to just say HAF NOW!! but you are pretty much guaranteed enough space with it. Cable management is decent. If you want to run your 4 or 8 pin CPU power behind the mobo tray, make sure its long enough or you have an extender.
