Default Lian Li TYR PC-X2000 or Coolermaster ATCS 840?

Hi everyone, first post here

I need a new case and i'm not sure which to get the Lian Li PC-X2000 or the Coolermaster ATCS 840. System will be an i7 with a 5870 crossfire. However i'm very sensitive to noise so I want the case to be as silent as possible.

On the face of it the 840 is cheaper but once I add some AcoustiPak sound-deadening material to it, 4-5 Noiseblocker 120mm fans and a fan controller the Coolermaster case is almost the same price as the Lian Li.

I prefer the functionality of the ATCS over the Lian Li as the Lian Li with its hot swappable HD bay looks like it won't take SSDs. However the Lian Li is more closed and hasn't got a massive open grill along the top which could let noise spill out?

So can anyone advise which is the best option. I've been reading the ATCS 840 thread on this forum and there's some great stuff being done with these cases. Yet there isn't much material around on the Lian Li PC-X2000.

Thanks.

I like the ATCS 840 better then any other case on the market, but that's my own opinion. It's size is preventing me from buying it since its a full tower and I really want to be able to transport it. The Lian Li you picked out seems nice though. Have you looked to see if there's converter kits for SSD's?

Yes there's a 2.5" to 3.5" converter kit designed for Lian Li cases (on top) :-

But I don't think this would align the SSD with a SATA inputs in PC-X2000 :-

I can't believe they made a £340 case and didn't consider SSD installation.

to fit that bay would require something like this 2.5in to 3.5in drive adapter which places the drive in the right position.
