I reinstalled Windows, I changed the spliter, reinstalled Drivers and I still get disconnected from the internet every 15 to 20 minutes. Everytime It disconnect's I have to go into network settings and click repair than it work's again for so long. My Modem (Converts Cable to internet) says Im getting internet and I phoned up the compay and they say internet been sending fine for last 2 days. What's can be the problem?

Did you unplug the modem(from the pc and power?? Then on the modem somewhere there is a tiny reset hole...use a tooth pick and reset it...for some reason modems obtain "clutter".....

Do you have your cable line on a splitter?

OK I have some questions/suggestions-
1. If you are using a router, what router is it? Can you bypass the router and plug the cable directly into your PC? Firmware update for the router? Reset the router? 2. Is it a wired or wireless connection? 3. Like dotcomthese said - What kind of A/V and firewall you running?? 4. What happens when you power cycle (unplug/plug in) the router/modem for a few minutes? 5. What modem are you using? That is all I can think of right now. Edit:Just linking your other thread - it has some extra info that adds to the picture - ie registry cleaning http://www.overclock.net/computer-pe...tting-out.html Edit2: If it is wired connection maybe it is a faulty cable?

Just unplug the modem power cord for a few minutes then plug it back in so it can power cycle itself.
