Can some one tell me what program I should use to make sure my ports are working correctly (full functionality) Because I'm using 1.5Mb adsl and im only getting like 128kbs Is that normal (im using earthlink)

First off, it is a rule (either generally accepted or part of the TOS, I'm not sure) that you must wait 1 day before bumping.
Second, it is more than likely that it is not a port problem. Port problems are when you can access the Internet but certain other technologies won't work, like HTTP servers (on your LAN) or Bittorrent. Do you know the difference between a bit and a byte? Download speeds (from a download client, like Azureus, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.) are measured in bytes per second (b/s or bps), while down-speeds from your ISP (Earthlink) are measured in bits (-bit, i.e. Mbit). 1.5Mbits is about 180KBytes/s. So your speeds are right on the dot. However, if you are only getting 128Kbits, then we have a problem. ![]() Remember this: Kb = Kilobits = large number KB/s = KiloBytes/second = smaller number, but usually more accurate
