Wait, so you can plug in USB powered devices to it? If so, you are the FREAKING MAN!!!!!!!
The Zune comes with a USB only charger, so whenever I go on vacation I need a USB post to charge it. Will this let me charge my Zune with an outlet?

Pretty good, except a few things should be noted:
1)It is not a 'transformer' it is a 'solid state voltage regulator'. A transformer requires a core(can be air-core, like in a Tesla Coil) and wound coils. 2)The voltage regulator needs to be rated at high enough amperage to provide the device with minimum charging current. 3)The voltage regulator should be attached to a heatsink if it is to be used for a long time without rest. Other than that not bad. EDIT: more info. If you search "minty boost" online there is a way to do it with 2 AA cells. Also, using an cinnamon Altiods tin is a great case because 1)It is the perfect size for battery, regulator, and wiring; and 2)You can bolt the regulator to it as a heatsink.

Yes, but doesn't the minty boost require a circuit board and some other stuff? I just wanted to make a simple charger that can also charge from the wall socket.
