LOL no. Tell that to the pros and even the high-end gamers and they'll think you're nuts. Laser mice are NOT good and is a waste to buy, read the guide I posted a couple of pages back.

I would get the Mx518....great mouse and great price. These things are durable and I have never had any problems with it. The mx series in general was a great series for pc mice.
