I just got my iPod classic 2 days ago, I dropped it already and it's not bad or noticeable scratches at all... YET, so i want to know what's a good way to protect my iPod without a hugeass thick case that's going to make it as big as a zune.
![]() btw, I'm getting this as my screen protector: http://www.decalgirl.com/browse.cfm/4,8115.htm

I don't know if it's outside your size requirements, but I've used an Agent18 case for over 2 years on my 1st gen Nano. Outstanding protection, I'd happily buy one again.

Not sure that a few millimeter's would protect anything. It's basically the same size as the Zune already.
Go for a leather case. I have one and they're pretty nice.

The hard plastic cases are typically used to protect against scratches but their drop protection is horrid. Also, the hard plastic cases are very thin so they won't add much bulk to your iPod.
The leather ones protect against both but they are typically very bulky and access to the screen and wheel requires a bit more work.

i use this i got it from bestbuy pretty cheap.
works well and doesn't scratch up the ipod like the plastic ones (my friend's had this issue) after prolonged active use. i just loop the little lanyard around a belt loop and snap, good to go. edit-------- also my two favorite colors

An emphatic SECOND on the best skins ever vote!
I can't tell you how well they work and how AMAZINGLY scratch proof they are. Think of it as a screenprotector (like the one you linked to) that applies not only to your screen but all other player surfaces as well. Here's the 'full body' kit applied to my zen vision M; I took these the day after applying them: ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... The kicker? Now, almost a month later ... after riding in my pocket with keys and coins, after being dumped into my car console repeatedly day after day with the ball point pens and screw drivers and fish hooks (yes, fish hooks) ... THEY LOOK IDENTICAL to the ABOVE SHOTS!!! Can't recommend them enough. Applying them is a bit of a careful process ... and you need to let your player sit for a day or so afterwards so that the application water properly evaporates ... but they are some amazing performers. Buy them now!
