Default cable modem ethernt vs usb connection
hey guys i jsut got me a new modem from comcast and its scientific atlanta, question is which one would be faster usb connection or lan connection?

Either will work fine. but if you have a rj-45 port on your comp use that.. basically the usb port is there for compputers that dont have a usb port. You can use both

usb 2.0 is 480mb/s. depends on if youre using gigabit which would be faster.

well im using dfi nf3 250 for sure this aint marvel, whats the speed on ethernet anyways?

you can probably run gigabit on that board so it 1000 mb/s. btw, better to use a lan card. i would recommend you get a gigabit card. they are fairly cheap and you can get better ping times than using the on board lan port.
