Sounds like you were a victim of early G5 software, cause from what you've said the G5II only has the reader head and button changes over the origianl. The skipping was fixed with 1) faster polling 2) software updates ![]() Again, glad you got a mouse you like

Is the older G5 firmware update able to provide 1000mhz polling?
__________________I ask because that was what I was looking for in a new mouse. The logitech G9 was a huge dissapointment (unless you have pygmy hands))

Yup. I have the option of 125, 250, 500, and 1000mhz polling rates right in setpoint.
