Every time I go into a thread talking about getting a new mouse everyone says get a MX518 or G5 (I have the old version of it) some say razer deathadder or copperhead but no one talks about the Lachesis?

i own a lachesis and a g9 and personally i love the lachesis. 4000 dpi, just heavy enough for my tastes and it fits just right. both great mice though, spendy.

The reason the MX518 is popular is because its quality to price point is excellent, also its a very large footprint (for bigger hands).
__________________I tried the Lachesis and the logitech G9. The Razer I found to be very skittish regardless of settings and didn't sit well in my hand. The G9 is very accurate but much shorter and may not be comfortable for some users. My suggestion is to buy from a retailer (like bestbuy) that allows full returns of open product and then try them. Its a really personal preference.

Lachesis didn't get such great reviews.
I can't stand logitechs to be honest. The death adder is a great mouse.

The reason is that the Lachesis is an ambidextrous mouse, and isn't very comfortable for anyone as such. The outside of the mouse doesn't form to your fingers, and feels odd. The outside buttons are also in a strange position, as well as frustrating to get to.
