Default Not reading CoD4

Well I just got a new LG DVD drive and it reads everything perfect accept for my damn Call of Duty 4 DVD.

Every time I put it in the drive will not read it and when I try to right click it locks up my computer. The DVD itself has no scratches what-so-ever and every other game has installed perfectly. Any help would be nice.

Well Now it IS reading the dvd but if I try to access any information on it it just locks up.

Try the DVD in another drive if possible, on any PC just to see if it reads it correctly. Also update the firmware on your new drive.

Is it only with COD4 that it locks up? Pop another game into your drive and see how it goes.

I think maybe COD4 is having the same problem that Oblivion was having some time ago. Many copies of Oblivion released in '06 wouldn't read in some drives. A friend of mine bought Oblivion and his drive wouldn't read the disc. Finally I tried installing the game on his machine using my original release copy and that worked and he was able to play the game and his bunk disc would pass the disk check.
