Need help old KVM switch
Wassup......
I used to run this old Trendnet TK-400 (not 400k like on the website), on a few computers I had running and also for computer repairs. I stopped using it about 3 or 4 years ago, and haven't really had a situation where I need it. Now that has all changed, I need to use a KVM switch and I know it's only got PS/2 and VGA ports. I'm currently using USB keyboard and mouse, and a LCD monitor which is using a DVI plug.
Now I have all the adapters to put the mouse and keyboard back to PS/2 plugs, and I have the adapter to change the DVI plug over to VGA. Question is will this hender resolution, mouse sentivity etc......
I normally run everything at 1680x1050, and I'm now using a mouse that has 3200 dpi setting (Cyber Snipa "Stinger")
I went to Trendnet's web page and the TK-400 they have their is a TK-400K and it's rounded looking, where mine is more boxy looking tho.
I did find a data sheet for it and it says it will display a resolution of 1920x1440 and it uses the power from the keyboard port.
Any info on this would be appreciated.....
