Default G15 is drenching wet....let's hope for a good recovery.

So - About an hour ago, the dogs decided to give full chase to the cat around the house. The chase ended with the cat jumping full onto my desk and knocking overa nearly full bottle of gatorade onto my G15.

Within 30 seconds (which is good considering the cables are routed behnd my heavy desk) I had it completely unplugged but I noticed the LCD was blnk right before I unplugged it. When I turned it over to drain....it as like Niagra Falls coming out of it. A steady stream of pink gatorage came out for at least 5 - 10 seconds.

I'll let it dry out a day or so and see what happens...but this was no small spill. I can only hope it still works.

If anyone has any ideas for me....throw them out there.

you shoudve popped all the keys out and drenchd it in pure alcohol. would help the air dry process a lot. not to mention take away the stickyness.

Yes since its all wet already using water to rinse can't make it any worse.

EDIT: never mind see you did it already.

don't have a cat and dog in the same house

the only test is the test of time. Leave it 24 hours or so and plug everything back in. I do however fear your G15 has been ruined

The only thing I could see getting destroyed by that is the LCD. You need to do alot more to a keyboard to ruin the keys.

Make sure you sandpaper the hole, and then put some U rubber over it to avoid sharp edges. Put some grease around the newly drilled hole, and then screw your computer, screw it hard. Maybe install some UV lights and turn em up to indicate that your computer is also excited.
