Default Short 1 SATA cord for DVD Drive- Where to buy?

I got all the components today for my first build, put everything together... and realize I'm one SATA cord short. My friend said the mobo would come with enough, and it didn't, and I want to start using this computer ASAP. Would any local stores sell them, or do I have to go through Newegg for it?

You'd probably find one at a mom-and-pop shop. Look in the phone book (or google maps for that matter). But I've not seen any SATA cables at Best Buy or Circuit City yet.

ANY computer will have it. Unless they only sell hardware from 8 years ago...

I went to Circuit City because I quickly looked at the website and saw they had them, only to get there and realize they only sell it online... Doh. Best Buy, no dice, but I still made the trip worthwhile by picking up Bioshock and The Orange Box... so I can enjoy the new PC.

Thats probably what I'll end up doing tomorrow. I don't think there are many mom-and-pop computer shops around though. Maybe some repair center will have one for sale though.

Thanks for the offer, but I'd like to go get it tomorrow. I just saw that Office Depot has them online, but they don't say if there stores have them in stock, so I'll give them a call tomorrow morning,

BestBuy sells them. CircuitCity doesn't. CompUSA/Tigerdirect would sell them. Frys will sell them. Check any computer repair places in your city as well and they should sell them also.

My Best Buy has them. They're 20 bucks though. They're worth 2.

I'm serious Hawk, you gotta check google maps for the local computer repair shops - they're almost guaranteed to have some. And (like you've found out for yourself), the big box stores don't. I have no idea why they don't stock a cable that takes up hardly any space, especially when it seems like many people are looking for said cables, but they don't.

@ KamuiRSX - I have never seen a Best Buy sell SATA cables in-store. Where have you seen this?
