Question DVD Drive stopped working

CD drive not appearing.

Well ive moved my PC from Uni to Home and now my CD Drive wont work. It doesnt show in My Computer yet in device manager it has a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

I look at the problem with it and it says I don't have the latest drivers. Yet, when i try to update the drivers using windows search and manual install, it wont let me because I have the latest ones out

Anyone got any ideas?

Check to make sure the jumper is set correctly on the back of the drive. It may have fallen out during the move or if you have more than one drive, they might be conflicting with one another.

I recently installed a new burner in my moms computer and it had the EXACT same problem yours did. I took it apart and adjusted the jumpers to master on one and slave on the other and it fixed the problem.

Loading an ISO isn't always as easy as simply mounting it, depending on the game.
