I'm trying to watch a DVD on my sig rig and it won't play? Media player gives an error message saying something about messing with my display settings. VLC player just brings up a small window and no video? I've tried a few codec packs like CCCP and ffdshow and I still get the same thing? The drive reads games and cd's fine and the driver is up to date but for some reason I can't play DVD's? Any ideas?

Have you tried using the divx player? That is usually my last resort when my other media players can't play a dvd.

WELL
Just to let you know. The newest anti-piracy protection is checking for installed programs and causing the computer to not play DVDs Once I had to disable all Nero processes before a DVD played, and most recently I uninstalled AnyDVD and disabled Nero and still my sig rig didn't recognize the DVD. Basically if you have Daemon tools, Anydvd, Nero, or any possibly copying software/protection cracking software your computer won't recognize the dvd.

I really couldn't tell you when it happened? I can't remember the last time I tried playing a DVD. This is the first time I've tried it with this rig but the DVD drive came from my last build and I think it worked on that one. CravinR1, I didn't know that? Maybe I'll try disabling them and see if it works. I'm not terribly worried about it. I just wanted to test my new monitor with a quality video to watch instead of the crappy streaming ones.
