Sold a few of those back when I use to develop pictures.
Great quality prints, it uses ribbon ink. It's a roll of the 3 primary colours plus clear. So ink = $$. Always cheaper to print at the local DrugStore or Wal-Mart.

pretty much what keith said, the ink is pretty pricey, and its cheaper to go to wall-mart or something and i find they yield better results as thier 4*6 prints are on photo reactive paper just like developed film as opposed to done with dye sublimation or ink jet printing.
if you do want a photo printer i would probably recommend a full size inkjet printer that is capable of printing up to 8*10 like the canon ip4500

No problem.
The upside to these kinds of printers, ribbon ink, is the time. You can have a 'roll' of pictures in just a matter of minutes. They are also dry as soon as they come out. Unlike wet ink systems. At the photo place I worked at we had a small station where customers could print their own photos. This used the ribbon style ink. Great pictures! but our rolls cost about $200 Most photo places use, now, what is called a dry ink system. Fairly neat stuff. Dry right out of the machine!![]()

newer printers have head cleaning cycles, no need to (canon and hp anyway, i don't think epson does).

![]() So can you recommend me a good photo printer with head cleaning cycles under $150 ? Is it better than the Dye-sublimation thermal printers ? Thanks a lot!

hmmm, personally i think dye sub gives better results, but as far as i know all consumer grade dye sub printers only do 4*6.
if you are fine with that then the selphy 760 you linked to in the OP would probably be your best bet. if you want to do larger then 4*6 i would go with a canon ip4500, or hp 7260. they canon is a much better general use printer, while the HP is pretty much built for photo printing and will yield better results IMO. but as i said earlier i still think that you are best off going to a local wal-mart as their method for printing 4*6 is the best method.
