I am in the market for a new keyboard, beings I am getting tired of my generic basic keyboard. I am trying to decide between a few different ones.
__________________Razer Lycosa - It would go well with my DeathAdder mouse and blue case lights. I have heard that it is a good keyboard, but not the best back lighting. Logitech G15 - Costs a little more, but get more features. Orange lights would not go well with everything else I have, but that is not a deal breaker. I know it is a great board and I think the screen is cool, but is it really something you need? Logitech G11 - Same as G15 basically, but without screen and not orange lights. Basically, I am thinking that if I am spending this much on a board anyways, should I just pay a little more to have the G15 and the cool screen? Saitek Eclipse II - I have heard it is a great board, but is it worth it beings it is around the same cost as the others and doesnt have as many bells and whistles as the others. Saitek Cyborg - Sci-fi looking board with multiple lighting options and a lot of other options as well. I think most reviews on this board were lower than the others listed though. I have looked at the Merc boards also, but don't know if I could get used to the gamepad area and they may be too long to fit in my pull out keyboard tray. Any input from people who have experience with these boards would be appreciated. I know there will be a lot of bias recommendations, so please give your reasons for choosing one and not just listing the board because you have it. Any other options would be welcome also. Price range is basically around the prices of the ones I have listed $50-$80ish. Thanks everyone.

Saitek Ecplipse II gets my vote. it has 3 different colors you can switch between; blue, red, purple.
not as many bells and whistles; however, it is a solid keyboard and personally im glad i put down the cash and picked on up. i've heard good things about the G11 and G15 as well

![]() Does it hurt to not have any macro keys if you are going for a gaming keyboard? I have not used a keyboard with macros yet, so I am not sure how much they help or if I would even use them. That was the only downside to the Eclipse, if it is even a downside. I'll still wait for more votes from others out there to see what people think.

I've got the Saitek Eclpise II. I find it great, but it doesn't have many features. If you can afford it, get a g15

I would say lycosa cause I own one, Razer customer service is excellent and they really stand behind there products. If you do use macro the lycosa is great because you can fully program your board to do just about anything you want it to, the only thing I wish it had was an extra usb port instead of just one but no big deal.

If you want to save a few bucks an still get a nice new keyboard, go with the saitek eclipse II. If you don't mind forking over the cash, the g11 and g15 are nice boards as well, I've only used the G15 once but I couldn't justify paying that much on a keyboard. Go with your fur, and make sure to read up on how "clicky" the keys are, some people like a clicky board and some don't.

Razer Lycosa gets my vote... I've always wanted that keyboard.
Ive got a Eclipse II but im not that keen on it, a few of the keys are un-responsive at times.
