Archos? - Overclock.net

Forget the poll and the other stuff is the archos a good player because i really want wifi but i dont want to spend ipod touch money.

It really depends what you are looking for...

I've owned all three, and they all have different capabilities...

The Ipod Touch only has a max capacity of 32GB and is expensive, but you do get the touch capability, but you will grow old of it within a matter of weeks

The Archos media players are great, but in my opinion, too bulky as an mp3 player, and should only be considered for if you want a media player...

I recommend you getting the Zune, because of the large capacity, and simple but sleek interface... and its also much cheaper than the ipod touch

I LOVE my ipod touch. the games are fantastic, internet browsing is great.
how much music and movies do you have?

the only thing is you need to remember to get
is a case for it, fingerprints easily.

I Like the zune better, Ipod you have to Itunes. Apple doesn't do well writing PC software. I like the fact with the zune that when they put a new feature on a new Zune they give you the software to update your old zune.

I love my jail broken Itough. No itunes, no garbage. Great games, internet, and other cool as hell features. I hate apple stuff always have. But I love my jailbroken itouch. I didnt buy it, and I still wouldnt though. ;0

so if you jailbreak it you dont have to use itunes.

Its hard to compare... the archos is much thicker than the zune, and thats what makes up most of the bulk... the largest difference you'll feel between the two is the weight and the thickness

actually, even if not jailbroken, you can still use other media players, such as foobar or WMP + addon, etc.
