Default Problem with memory stick

I copy a file onto my memory stick, then open it and it is fine. When I remove it using safely remove hardware and then plug back in again file won't open in english.(msword)

Any ideas?

What type of stick is this? Is it the USB jumper drive thing? They are plug and play. Just shove it in, save/edit, and yank it out when you are done. Sounds more like you are messing up your USB ports if it is a Jump drive.

It's a USB flash drive, 1Gb and I get this problem in many computers. Do you think I should send it back.
