Um, the Eclipse II doesn't need drivers. Something obviously must be wrong somewhere in your chain, because mine does everything it's supposed to, from changing the volume to skipping back and forth through songs.

That says only for XP and Windows 2003, but I have the same version and it works in Win7 for me.
I'll try that when I get home tomorrow evening, (busy night 2nite), and I have tried it, but will try again. Hopefully it'll glitch work for the saitek also..

P.s. Where is it located to change the buttom mapping??? Can you screenshot a reference point? Muchly appreciated!

And no, it doesn't work It's direct to the usb plugs on the laptop, either one of them, while all standard keys and lighting effects work just fine...

Any alternate programs or other drivers from other brands that may work??? Still trying to get either to work successfully...

Well, I guess I was wrong about Setpoint working to change it. That is only for the other keys on the keyboard. Anyways, it is easily changeable in foobar2000 as shown in this screenie.

Exclamation Getting the Eclipse II media keys to work with foobar2000 even without focus

Just in case anyone needs to know what to use for foobar2000, here is a screenshot of foobar2000's settings for the buttons on the Saitek Eclipse II:

Make sure these four are in the top section of the screen. Once they are (if they are not already), do the following:
  • click on the one you want
  • click in the Key textbox in the bottom section
  • press the appropriate button on your keyboard
  • check the Global Hotkey checkbox

That will give you control of the application, regardless of its focus status. I hope that helps.
