Default :(Saitek Eclipse II & Logi G15 Gaming - FAIL...:(

Hola overclock.net peoples extrodinaire

I have come to this forum in hopes for drivers, mods, cheats, source coding, or some random thing (btw not all the above, but you get the picture...)...

To fix the following simple little tiny itsy bitsy request...

I want...

Media keyboard functionaility.

Have tried

Logitech G15 Gaming Edition (Blue extended buttons)

Have tried Funky cool Saitek Eclipse II keyboard.

Tried BOTH support phone #'s for each respective company, and both are clueless or hangup, (i'm irate with them after the 5th call...so yeah).

Simply, I want the play pause to do play pause, I want back, forward, to do back or forward / prev/next.

I want mute to do mute, volume up down, to do volume up down. I want stop to do stop.

Is that toooo much to ask?

Is it?

Is it?????

I am on win7 RC1.

I am fully updated, all drivers that do exist I have (most recent for the logi) and I cannot find ANY drivers for the Eclipse II, only the 3rd edition which Don't apply to this keyboard anyhoo.

Any help grealtllllyyy appreciated!!!!!

What program are you trying to use the media keys with?? As I believe that some programs you need to manually enable media key functions in the program itself before you can use media keys with it.

Yup. I had to manually configure the media keys on the Saitek Eclipse II into foobar2000 v0.9.6.5.

Buy a media keyboard then.

The two keyboards you bought are gaming keyboards.
G15 / Eclipse 2 both have media keyboard buttons / functionality, hence why i'd like to keep them and enjoy the media functionality.

I haven't gotten foobar to work yet... Any suggestions for that to? Cause I tried manual setup for winamp & wmp, and I can't get it to recognize the keys either... Possibly a registry glitch??

I just did a search on google, and apparently other people are having issues with the G15's media keys.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/...i=&p_topview=1

I think you should try reinstalling the drivers to be sure:

I have reinstalled drivers, but I didn't use a driver cleaner, does anyone suggest a serious heavy duty driver cleaner, and alternate drivers for the eclipse II ??? Thanks...

My Logi keyboard works fine, I just had to set the keys in Setpoint. Download that and see if you can change the function of each key. Thats what I did, I am also on Win7 RC.

EDIT: This http://www.filehippo.com/download_logitech_setpoint/

That says only for XP and Windows 2003, but I have the same version and it works in Win7 for me.
