This happens a lot with me and it really bothers me. Happens with internet browsers, microsoft office and even MSN. After a while (sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 2 hours) all of a sudden windows will decide to change my question marks from regular question marks to É. It will only happen in the one application that it is affecting (ie. It if happens in Firefox, typing question mark in Word will show a question mark and not a É). Aswell, when you close the problematic program and then relaunch it, it will go back to normal. I'm using a Microsoft Digital Media Pro keyboard (I used to use a Microsoft Mutlimedia keyboard before and had the same issue)

go to your windows region settings (in control panel) and change your keyboard layout to US default.
or maybe change it to something other than us and then back.

If it does, then it's your keyboard settings that needs to be fixed.

Every once in a blue moon I get weird keyboard problems. When I do, I just press Ctrl+Alt on either side of the spacebar at the same time.
By the way: I don't "click" anything on my keyboard. I "press".

(This is the truth regarding maximum safe temperatures and voltages) Mechanical Keyboard Guide ![]() The bar at the bottom is called the "Taskbar", not the "toolbar" (that is, in Windows). The dollar sign goes to the left of the dollar amount, not the right. (Example: $10, not 10$). I have Asperger Syndrome (I was diagnosed by an Autism specialist in April of 2006). It's a disability.

Windows has some dumb command that changes your keyboard layout. It is like **** and delete or something else commonly miss hit.
To change it go into language settings. To prevent it from happening again delete everything but ES east.

I find it very useful as an European... Danish layout for when I have to write Danish letters, because the Danish layout is retarded for certain things (ctrl+alt + 2 for @ and ctrl+alt9 for ] anyone?)
