No, you will see very little difference in performance, that much ram isnt worth the money.

It's generally not worth it, unless you're doing hardcore video/photo editing. Especially not for gaming/everyday use. May I make another suggestion for your build? Get the Antec TruePower New 750W instead of the Corsair.

Nope, nothing needs more then 4Gb let alone 6 or 12Gb

stick with 6gig of ram and instead get an SSD for boot drive, much more of an increase in snappiness and doesn't cease to be usefull after 4GB
