SteelSeries SX is my first choice, Core Magna is my second choice.

well as those may be some good choices, i highly doubt id spend more on a mousepad then on a mouse... the magna is also a safetyglass pad, so no good for me sry

I'm currently using Razer Goliathus Alpha - Control Edition
__________________I really like it! It's pretty big (as large as a table placemat). It's also very rough (control edition), but my mouse glides extremely well. The pad is fairly soft and comfortable, you can rest your palms on the pad while you use your mice. Here are some pics: ![]() -notice the rough texture (it's a good thing :P)

I love my Razer exact mat, has a control and precise to it, plus it comes with a wrist pad.

I've used a few gaming mouse pads, and the one I've settled on is the Xtrac Hybrid.
__________________http://xtracpads.com/products.php?prod_id=27§ion=1 It's a cloth mat kind of fused with plastic for less resistance. Best mat I've ever used! Get it if you want to keep the feel of a cloth mat but want less resistance.

this is the Avago ADNS-6010 Laser Sensor (Razer Copperhead, Logitech G3, G5, G7 and Dharma Tactical Mouse) ![]() Note: the icons that are raining down are negative acceleration and data saturation. in this chart it's clear for your mouse to reach optimal efficiency the surface makes a difference. the G5 works poorly on the Air Pad Pro III and SteelSeries S&S but on the SteelSeries SX and Core Magna is another story. it's a scary thought that most people are not reaching optimal efficiency with their mouse because they are using the wrong surface this is also directed at the people who construct their own out of granite, plastics and other materials. the SteelSeries SX is $45 and favors Lasers so it's a pretty good investment but the SteelSeries QcK is $12 and performs on par with the SteelSeries SX and with the exception of the Avago ADNS-6010 it favors opticals.
