The mouse feels great in my hand but whenever I tend to move it a slightly long distance to the left or right I tend to "pick it up" to return it to the center position. Not sure if anyone can diagnose if this is the wrong mouse for my playing style. Heard people mention claw vs. grip before. Should I try the Logitech G9 instead?
__________________Also, I use the standard microsoft mouse at work for long periods of time throughout the day so it's tough for me to get adjusted to the DeathAdder when I get home -- is there a similar gaming mouse design as the standard MS mouse? Thx

Sounds to me like it might just be a mouse sensitivity problem. Have you cranked up the sensitivity at all? Also, make sure you turn things off in Windows like "Enhance Pointer Precision" and "Mouse Acceleration" in your Control Panel or Razer Control Panel. Particularly the "Enhance Pointer Precision" doesn't work well with trying to game with Razer mouses.

I have the Deathadder as well and I have never had to do that. I think it is just in your settings.

I've never had that issue either. Seems you need to do the firmware flash on the mouse {if needed} and install the deathadder software and adjust the settings.

Try setting up your sensitivity.
__________________I have both the G9 and DeathAdder, as far as gaming goes, I've noticed my kill/death ratio is quite a bit better with the G9, mostly because the DPI switcher buttons def come in handy when **** hits the fan. Although I like to use the DeathAdder because a lot more comfortable than the G9. (< not too good for long gaming sessions) So it's up in the air, can't go wrong with either, 2 of the best gaming mice you can get.

I still use a MS optical mouse. Greatest mice ever made.

I went from low sensitivty and the lift and drag style to a DeathAdder and at first I did that, but now that I'm used to it I slide rather then lifting.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll have to mess around with the settings after work. I tend to have the sensitivity around 7-8.

500hz, 1800dpi (no drivers) at 1680x1050, sensitivity in windows at 6 and in games usually all the way down. I took me some time to get used to it after using Logitech for few years, but now I don't look back. The only annoying thing is that it sometimes doesn't register a click. Doesn't happen often, but when it happens at the wrong moment can be very frustrating.
