Default About time for an upgrade...

So I've been using a cheapo keyboard that I bought for around fifteen bucks, and think that it's time to get a better keyboard that doesn't suck at typing like this one. Budget is around 70 dollars, been eyeing the lycosa, but am wondering if backlit keys are really worth it, since my keyboard is right in front of my monitor. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I like those mechanical switch keyboards, but the ones that aren't ugly are friggin expensive!

The old IBMs with the switchs are the easiest to use buy and mod.. But there is a 100.00 mechanical Switch keyboard on newegg. its 99.99 so look for that price range to find the one that im talking about. But as long as it is a plug in keyboard it is better than wireless.
