New to Overclock.net
|
ok so i have those cheap zalman clips for a microphone :P and i used it for a laptop
now i moved it over to a desktop and i can't seem to enable it? what is the best place to enable my microphone?? drivers or ?? +rep if someone solves edit: my audio jack works fine beside the microphone one Last edited by benyu : 3 Weeks Ago at 10:37 PM |

I also got a $5 zalman mic during ncix sale
![]() i notice on mine it was just plug and play ![]() have you when to control panel(realtek HD audio), and check if the mic is not muted?

edit: i know it is plug in and play but it won't work so im thinknig about microphone drivers or something? |

Open the control panel, then the sound option. Choose speakers, then properties, then levels from top tab. You should get options like in this pic, check if the microphone is muted or if the level is turned right down.

__________________![]() Same principle in XP, open control panel, sounds, then search around for the mic volume. You can also get to it by double clicking the sound icon in your task bar down by your system time.
