Default Sign my mouse is dying?

I have a logitech bluetooth desktop. I am experiencing cursor drift with the mouse. I plugged a usb mouse and there is no cursor drift with it. Is the cursor drift a sign that the mouse is dying? On XP SP3. This is the first time i have had this happen and been using this mouse for the last 2 yrs.

how bad is the cursor drift, did you try reinstalling the drivers, might not do anything but you never know

i had really bad issues with a normal wireless logitech keyboard mouse combo that saw my keyboard and mouse sitting about 1 foot away from the receiver just to get the damn things to work, i just figured i dropped the receiver too many times and in true logitech fanboy style, just bought another one

had the logitech nano for about 6 months now, not an issue in the world

Sometimes its really bad - cant even click what i want to click. It'll even drift off screen at times. As for drivers, i am just using the bluetooth support in xp. I found the logitech software too much trouble - dropped bluetooth connections especially the keyboard.

i just had mouse issue like this a few days ago. was really upset, plugged in a few microsoft mice (habu, intellimouse explorer 4) and found they don't work in vista O_o

ANYWAY

try getting some compressed air cans. attach the little straw to the bottle nozzle, then aim the nozzle directly at the optical sensor. a few strong blasts should do the trick...well, that's what worked for me.
