i love mine, it replaced an MX510 that broke, whats wrong with the mouse? Tactile response is liked by alot of people, maybe you dont. The cord has never caused me any problems ever, and it just fits

I did have that tilting problem as well though. Pretty annoying tbh.

I love this mouse. I've tried several offerings from Razer and SteelSeries, but the 518 is my preference. I've noticed how the mouse wheel can sometimes be inaccurate, but doing a few full rotations usually fixes that. I only have that issue once every few months or so anyway. All of the other points either seem inaccurate or don't bother me at all. The cable is flexible enough for me, the shape fits my hand perfectly (where I don't have to "clench"), tracking is accurate, and 1000hz works fine on mine.
The MX518 has been my exclusive mouse since 2004, because I like it so much, as well as Logitech's good policy on replacements. I don't have to send in the old one, and I get a new one shipped next day with no questions asked.

I love the mouse, had it for nearly 3 years and it's still working like the day i got it.
Love the clicky wheel ![]() Mine doesn't bounce back after scrolling, well, not that i've ever noticed at least. Shape is just about perfect for my hand. Although I can agree that the cord could be lighter, but simply coiling it slightly has solved any problem i had

Bought one about 3 years ago. When I got my laptop this summer, I bought another. I have had no issues with the mouse. Although my only comparisons are the generic 2 or 3 button mice.

personally the wheel on my g500 is fine which seems to take the majority of its design from the g5(for obvious reasons). its not loud, its a mouse, and i love hyper scroll for surfing!

The MX518 is standard. It's not exceptional quality, and it's not horrible. However, the Deathadder is better for the price, in my opinion.

I've considered trying the DeathAdder, but I'm not sure if I'll like the shape. I prefer to basically relax my hand on the mouse and have it fit. I can't stand having to constantly clench my fingers to keep a good grip.

In any thread that recommends the MX518, i say it is a good mouse but i also make a point as to why i don't like it.
The right side of the mouse has a deep grove for the pinkie (smallest) finger. this groove however does not allow my ring finger (the one next to the pinkie) to be down there comfortably but instead forces it to go onto the right-click. That bothers me a lot, but works for some people.
