you can get a standard scissor switch keyboard like a Kensington or i-Rocks for less than $30. believe me the back lighting isn't worth it. it probably uses the same inexpensive LED they use in the G15 instead of 1 LED per key they use 1 LED to illuminate multiple keys. the only difference is the color and they illuminate nicer because they use the slim keycaps instead of standard.

Look on ebay and get a genuine IBM Model M. The Space Saver model is great, but they are getting pretty expensive... some going for $150 or more.

that or a iOne Scorpius M10, as a Das owner I can vouch for Cherry MX Blue they are great to type on and since 2007-2008 the soldering has improved.
