From Steelseries directly? If that's the case I might just do that.

I still haven't completely made up my mind, the Xai is a bit pricier than the other two but from the sounds of things it might be worth it. Thanks for the info, I'm gonna think on it for a bit longer.

knowing it uses the same sensor as the other two makes it easier to decide because all you have to worry about is what kind of surface you are using and comfort. I don't have a problem with it's shape, it's classic like a old ball mouse. maybe teenagers who entered the gaming world using a G5 might be biased (god that makes me sound old) I would encourage you to be patient and wait for reviews and when it's widely available. there are some videos on Youtube that explains the new features by SteelSeries sponsered Pro Gamers.

G5's, while great mice, are out dated. The Xai looks like a razer knock off. The sidewinder is lousy. It's too big and cumbersome. The Sentinel is getting great reviews across the net. One you might think about is the Ideazon Reaper Edge. It's very comfortable and has 3200 dpi. I have the Reaper, Sidewinder, Deathadder, and G5. I like the Deathadder the best but I may try the Sentinel.

The first one looks similar to the deathadder. Does to me anyway. Not saying it's a bad mouse. But not one I would consider.

Sentinel, it looks amazing (Feature wise) and doesn't look cheap at all. It'd be my first choice.

Yeah I'd go with the Sentinel too, if you get it let us know how it performs in comparison to your deathadder/mx518.

OK, I think I'm going to rule out the Xai. Looks like a great mouse and though I do like the classic shape I think I'd like a bigger mouse to rest my hand on, not to mention the price factor. Its between the G500 and the Sentinel now.

I'd get the G500 because of logitech's support and honestly, it's laser engine tracks as well as the G5 rev1 and 2, and the G9 + G9x. It's all marketing really. However I do say that is tracks VERY well especially in games if you put the dpi up insanely high and put your in game sensitivity very low.
