Just last night, I noticed an odd buzzing noise coming from, not only the speakers, but the sub as well. If I tap the back plate on the sub box, it only gets louder.
Fiddling with the main cord does nothing either. QQPlease help people, I don't wanna buy another set. Just read my latest post. Which happens to be post #4 for those who can't differentiate.

Have you tried unplugging the headphone cord, making sure it's completely connected?
My ProMedia's will make a sound like that, when I remove it for my headphones.

I am not experienced enough with troubleshooting audio stuff to know exactly what the issue is, but I would suggest changing the cables (assuming they are RCA cables) just to eliminate that possibility though it sounds to me like the issue lies with the amplifier in the subwoofer assuming all the cables are firmly attached and operational.
On a side note, if you are to buy a new 2.1 setup, do not get the ProMedias. The Logitech Z-2300s get better reviews all around, for example.

There are no headphones plugged in.
I'm STUPID... The main audio cord in the back wasn't all the way in.
