I happen to own that Creative Fatal1ty headset you linked to. It's very nice, and the mic is extremely sensitive if you take off the little black thing on the end of it. Great quality for the price.
okay sweet thanks. is the mic good like people can here you well?

Just point the mic away from your face and you'll be fine.

I actually get complaints that I'm eating my mic, when it looks like this on me:

*wow my Internet really hates me*

Mmm, my brother has the Fatal1ty too, the mic is great, but i find the headset uncomfortable since it rests on your ears. I have a Steelseries Siberia full headset (http://www.steelseries.com/int/produ...ed/information). The mic on it isn't part of the headset, you can either clip it on your shirt, or let it sit on your table. I have it on the table about 1ft away from my mouth and people can hear me fine (+20dB).

Yes the headset can get a bit painful after like, 3 hours of constant wearing. But you just need to adjust it a tad and it feels great.
I can get away with keeping it around my neck and cranking up the volume. It's great to not have it sitting on my head at those times.
