I used it with my G5 and it's a complete failure.
It doesn't keep up with the movements when I have 2000dpi and low sense on games. ![]()

__________________- Material: Glass - Surface treatment: Trade secret - Dimensions: 10" x 12" - Size: Medium - Glide: Smooth - Compatibility: Optical, ball G5 = Laser. This might be your problem since it was released in 2001. At that time i think most people were using optical, i dont think laser mice were available 8 years ago when this was designed and released.

SteelSeries Experience I-1 and I-2 used to be called the Icemat and Icemat SE respectively and they have been around since 2000. it's a frosted translucent glass and is pretty durable the only issue with it is condensation. the sensor in the G5 doesn't like it. laser sensors came on the market in 2004.
