So I'm having a sort of tough time adjusting my mouse (I just got the CM Sentinel)...

max dpi on your mouse an sensitivty used to make the speed comfortable.
__________________keep windows speed slider at the middle and use dpi toggle for bearable speed in windows (changing windows sensitivty causes the mouse to skip pixels and lose precision for gaming) though there really isn't usually much point in dpi over around 2000 on 1920X1080 resolution as its already pixel perfect precision around that point, but the 2560X1600 monitors are when >3000 dpi mouse start to see a use over the lower dpi mice. hence the reason the g5 and deathadder still see a lot of use.

Question -- does the "mouse sensitivity" in your driver mirror the windows pointer speed and vice versa?

Yes. If I go into Windows and change the pointer speed to say 5, that's what will show up as the "mouse sensitivity" in the driver program and vice versa. Reason why I'm confused by this is because my old Razer drivers used to have these two as separate features.
