Just noticed that when I try and play any game in the last hour or so, my camera scrolls up uncontrollably as if someone is perpetually pushing my mouse up. This is weird and I don't like it. Has anyone here ever encountered this odd occurrence? Any ideas guys?

Probably why, how long have you owned it? I've experienced it before, but does it happen often? If so I'd say invest in a new mouse ^_^

Well, I just tested Garry's Mod, and it doesn't seem to have the problem. So far, Borderlands and *saints row 2* are affected. It's supremely annoying. Based on what it is and isn't working in, I'd be surprised if the mouse was the problem.

Could be something dirty over the sensor under your mouse, a mouse problem, or possible a problem with the surface you're using the mouse on.
If you've checked all those, try plugging the mouse into a laptop or another computer and see if the problem persists there. If all else fails, invest in a new mouse ![]() Goodluck

But the problem is only appearing in certain games. If it was any of the above problems, the issue would be present all the time, which it isn't.

May not be relevant, but;
I used to have this problem with my optical mouse. I think in the end, the problem was that it'd hit an uneven point in the woodgrain on my desk, which would confuse the optical sensor, meaning I'd suddenly be shooting at the ceiling. It would only do it once every couple of weeks though. I put it on a mousepad, and the problem went away. After getting a laser, I got rid of the mousepad, and it never did it again. Maybe because the laser ones are more accurate? If it's doing it constantly, try uninstalling the drivers for it through the device manager, then plugging it back in.

Do you have a (USB) game controller plugged in your computer as well?

Bingo. Didn't think of that. *unplugs 360 controllers* Thanks!
